Regional Executive Assistants' Cocktail Hour
REACH Membership Benefits
Members have the opportunity to network virtually and at events. We aim to organize a post-work cocktail hour every six to eight weeks for members to meet and network in person. We also offer the opportunity to network through our website on everything from conducting a job search to advice on negotiating a raise, from software recommendations to venue suggestions, from best practices to tips and tricks for day-to-day professional improvement.
Networking
Job Search
Assistants currently employed, particularly those who support high-level executives or public individuals, have difficulty conducting a confidential job search. Being part of a community of trusted and connected assistants able to assist in your job search, particularly those who may know of confidential openings, makes being part of the network so important. Plus, navigating the waters of trusted, skilled, and connected recruiters with the referral power and past experience of your colleagues helps makes your job search efficient and effective.

For assistants between jobs, having ready access to other assistants who can refer you to openings or who can meet you at an event to get a first-hand impression outside of an interview can make all the difference.

Joining REACH also means you'll receive exclusive notification of job openings our membership become aware of and distribute to the group first.
Candidate Sourcing
Assistants understand corporate culture and their company's needs best, and HR departments should often tap into their assistants' resources and networks for top-tier candidates, especially when conducting a confidential search. Access to the network of assistants who are part of REACH allows you to tap into a talent base of candidates, especially in a setting different from the formality of an interview which may not help you get to know an individual personally.
Career Advice
Being an assistant takes incredible professional dexterity, a wide range and depth of knowledge, and the ability to get the job done, regardless of how large or small the task. REACH's online forums provide members the opportunity to pose questions about new challenges they may be facing within their company, concerns about how to handle interpersonal relationships or new job responsibilities, and everything in between. A massive network of other assistants who can offer advice based on their own experiences provides assistants support to grow professionally and expertise.
Professional Development

Online courses, seminars, boot camps, and conferences for assistants are starting to become more common, and it's important to learn which are available, which are helpful, and which are right for you. REACH offers individual members an opportunity to provide professional development for other members based on their own areas of expertise, and we have a within our network best-in-class trainers who can help with training and professional development for executives and administrative teams in general and for assistants in particular.
